This position is responsible for all Lathe production and managing the necessary shop support.
We are looking for an experienced lathe programmer/setup person for DMG Mori NLX 2500 first and second Generation, CNC mill programming and setup is a plus, for Horizontal NHX 4000, proficient in programming with Virtual Gibbs, GD&T, and knowledge on how to read engineering prints.
This position reports to the production manager and will work closely with other staff and team members within three separate operating divisions.
Qualified candidates should possess at least three to five years of machine shop and programming experience.

CNC Programmer
Responsibilities:
Read and interpret technical blueprints and design models.
Load raw materials into the CNC machine.
Input product design into computer modeling software.
Choose and load the correct cutting tools for the job.
Adjust machine settings to desired product specifications.
Troubleshoot issues during the manufacturing process.
Conduct quality control tests during manufacturing and on the final product.
Clean and maintain the machine.
Train new staff on machine operation procedures.
CNC Programmer Requirements:
High school diploma or GED.
Previous work experience as a CNC programmer.
Ability to read and interpret design blueprints.
Extensive experience with computer modeling software.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and stick to a deadline.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours, potentially some overtime.
Additional Duties, Requirements, and Skills:
Read technical drawings and set up machines according to blueprints.
Use computer software to model cutting paths and program machines.
Perform quality assurance tests to ensure products meet design specifications.
Troubleshoot and resolve problems with machines.
Perform basic machine maintenance, such as cleaning and sharpening.
Train new employees on how to properly operate CNC machines and programs.
Use measuring devices.
Positive and professional attitude.
Familiarity and skill with interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
Previous experience working in a manufacturing setting is required.
Proficiency in computer skills and a willingness to learn new systems.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Problem solver and team player with the ability to communicate well with co-workers and peers.
Strong leadership skills driving and achieving results.
Salary is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
