Kilgore Companies is looking to bring on a Estimating Manager to our team.
Roles & Responsibilities Works with operational and business development leaders to determine which pursuits to engage in assigned District.
Provides technical and industry knowledge towards risk, contract management, owner relationships and vendor or subcontractor partnerships.
Organizes and supervises estimating teams to prepare bids, select vendors or subcontractors and determine cost effectiveness of project to bid.
Delegates review of project and appropriate regulations required to construct the project to meet disadvantages business requirements and minority participation agreements.
Reviews work of direct reports to ensure accuracy, innovation and completeness.
Perform additional assignments per management's direction.
Coordinates and reviews schedules of project pursuits with lead estimator and pursuit team support.
Reviews total estimate of all projects to ensure accuracy and completeness prior to formal submission.
Participates in pre-bid meetings, bid strategy and representation meetings as required.
Upon project completion, participates in debriefing with estimating, engineering and production teams to discuss positive and negative aspects of the project.
Monitors the record keeping of bid documents and bid results.
Leads Joint Venture (JV) meetings and hand-off meetings between pursuit phase and active project management team to ensure accurate and complete knowledge transfer between the phases.
Maintains knowledge of Company values and strategic plan.
Support published corporate policies.

years estimating & cost control related experience required.
Construction, design, finance, and management experience required.
Expert knowledge of HCSS Heavy Bid Estimating Software Lead and promote development of creative, innovative solutions to construction challenges.
Research and promote more effective and efficient estimating methods Understands best value approach to winning new work Expert knowledge of various construction engineering and project delivery methods.
