Responsibilities
Job Duties:
- Create and set up items and purchase orders
- Work with China office to effectively track all purchase orders and shipments
- Proactively react to production problems to ensure on time delivery of quality merchandise and communicate to sourcing manager
- Monitor pre-production activities and react and solve problems that arise
- Work with testing, packaging and QA to ensure all pre-production activities are completed in a timely manner
- Collect and report weekly production/shipping details to ensure on time delivery and communicate to sourcing manager
- Work together with the logistic department to execute shipping schedules
- Review production status reports and identify delivery and/or quality problems and determine and communicate the appropriate actions to be taken
- Maintain close working partnership with buyers, demand planners, design, and other support departments
- Work closely with suppliers to negotiate pricing, determine lead times and discuss quality expectations with all items
- Other tasks assigned by management
- Practice honesty and integrity
- Assist in keeping facility and work area clean, neat, safe, secure and operating efficiently
- Follow all established policy and safety guidelines in a drug free workplace
- Attend product knowledge and safety meetings as required by management
- Follow company policies and procedures
- Assist Sourcing Manager in all sourcing related efforts
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- Effective listening, verbal, and written communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel
- Strong negotiation skills
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Recognize and understand product numbers and alpha/numeric codes
- Some work from home is expected
- Able to perform business math operations (Add, subtract, multiply, and divide)
- Team player who works productively with wide range of people
- Smartsheet and Gmail experience preferred
- Problem solving and analytical ability
- Basic computer and keyboarding skillsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
