As a System Engineer, you will have the opportunity to define the next generation of motor control solutions for onsemi. We are looking for an experienced, highly technical leader who is passionate about being a part of a strong team and winning in the market place. Key responsibilities of this role will be:
Ability and willingness to lead internal development teams and customers New product definition and system architecture for microcontroller based BLDC motor control solutions Ability to work within the business unit to clearly present these technical solutions and advocate for them Be a critical interface to our customers by understanding their needs and being a subject matter expert they can rely upon Research markets, competitive analysis, exploration of advanced BLDC motor control methods, monitoring new technologies and system trends The position will be based in Lindon, Utah or Pocatello, Idaho. Please expect travel to be approximately 25%. Occasional travel to Europe, South America, Asia will be required. Travel to other locations in the US will also be required. Responsibilities:
Experience in microcontroller based BLDC motor control systems and low level Embedded Firmware development; Experience with ARM processors/SoC is a plus Managing, directing, and contributing to troubleshooting, problem solving, and communicating with customers at multiple levels within their organization. Technical insight and understanding of 3-phase BLDC motor drive strategies such as trapezoidal, sine and field oriented control (FOC) Ability to work with the product line manager to build and drive Strategy and Roadmap alignment with Divisional Management Strong Collaboration with field sales and applications, design, product and test engineering, and marketing. Education/
Experience:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent 5
years industry experience in motor control hardware and/or software working with one or more of the following:
3 Phase DC BLDC motors, 3 Phase AC induction Motors, Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors (PMSM), and/or Robotics Graduate Degree in related area is a plus.
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
Systems Architecture & EngineeringEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
