As an Assembly Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process by assembling trailer hitch components and ensuring that the finished products are prepared for shipment.
This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong manual dexterity, and the ability to work efficiently in a warehouse setting.
Responsibilities:
Assembly of Trailer Hitch Components:
Read and interpret assembly instructions and schematics.
Assemble various parts to create complete trailer hitch products.
Ensure the quality and accuracy of each assembled product.
Use hand tools and equipment to complete assembly tasks.
Quality Control:
Conduct quality checks on assembled products to meet company standards.
Identify and report any defects or issues during the assembly process.
Collaborate with the quality control team to maintain high product quality.
Packaging and Palletizing:
Package finished products in accordance with packaging guidelines.
Prepare products on pallets for shipment.
Label packages accurately and neatly.
Inventory Management:
Assist in managing warehouse inventory.
Keep track of parts and materials to ensure an adequate supply for production.
Report any discrepancies or shortages to the supervisor.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Comply with all company policies and procedures.
Customer Communication:
Respond to customer inquiries regarding product issues or concerns.
Provide excellent customer service through effective communication and problem resolution.
Collaborate with the customer service team to address and resolve customer concerns promptly.
Product Repairs:
Assess and diagnose issues reported by customers.
Perform repairs on defective or damaged products.
Ensure that repaired products meet quality standards before being repackaged.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in assembly work and warehouse operations is a plus.
Ability to use hand tools and equipment effectively.
Detail-oriented with a focus on quality.
Basic understanding of inventory management.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Comfortable working on your feet in a non-environmentally controlled environment for extended periods.
Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
Forklift experience If none can be trained; experience in loading trailers is preferred.
Strong math skills.
Proficiency in computer skills and a willingness to learn new systems are essential.
Strong communication skills Probationary Period:
90 days Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications.
Holiday Pay:
(After Probationary Period) New Year's Day - January 1st Memorial Day - the last Monday of May Independence Day - July 4th Labor Day - the first Monday in September Thanksgiving - the fourth Thursday in November Christmas - December 24-25th (2 days)
