Software Engineer

We are looking for motivated, lifelong learners to help us innovate and develop the next generation of online elementary school textbooks. We develop both frontend and backend tools, built to manage highly dynamic content, immersive educational applications, and cutting edge analytics. We are looking for a self motivated developer who can fit our social development style. We currently use PHP, CodeIgniter, jQuery, Git, and PostgreSQL. Compensation from $45,000 to $70,000 depending on experience. On site position only.

Architect and develop information systems from the ground up
Maintain existing websites
Testing and troubleshooting
Assist in developing project requirements
Develop standards-compliant web applications
Expert with JavaScript/jQuery
Considerable knowledge of HTML, CSS,, AJAX
Object-oriented design experience
Proficient in PHP
Experience with git version control
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
Optional Qualifications:
Networking, Linux systems administration, and DBA experience
Experience with other languages (Perl, C, Java, ActionScript, etc.)
Experience with PostgreSQL
Functional knowledge of CodeIgniter

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
