Summary:
Weld fabricated components to asseble structural forms such as building and bridge parts, according to blueprints and knowledge of welding. Apply knowledge of geometry, physical properties of metal machining, weld shrinkage, and welding techniques. Prepare equipment by positioning and clamping. Weld parts using dual shiel welding equipment. Weld using 1/16, 5/64, .045 or other diameter wire as required. Perform related tasks such as thermal cutting, arc gouging, and grinding. May repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts, using cutting torch, straightening press, and hand tools.
