Event Marketing Specialist
KT Tape is a sports med product used by professional athletes, Olympians like Kerri Walsh, and millions of everyday athlete's to treat aches and pains. KT Tape is sold on more than 28,000 locations in the US and in 70 countries world-wide. The company plans to participate in more than 100 events in 2014 and is seeking candidates who are self motivated, charismatic, organized, and effective brand ambassadors to successfully represent KT Tape at sporting events across the United States. This position pays $15 per hour
travel expenses.
Responsibilities
Confirm delivery of booth items and perform booth set-up and tear-down of 10 ft x 10 ft booth space
Responsible for maintaining booth area and administering booth activities
Must be able to answer product questions, have a general understanding of how product works (training provided)
Competent at applying tape to event participants and answering product questions. This requires physical contact with the participant including feet, legs, and other areas of the body (training provided)
Act upon all customer comments/complaints in a prompt, professional, calm, and friendly manner
Stock, merchandize, and sell KT Tape to event participants
Handle cash and credit card transactions and provide required accounting documentation
Provide product inventory, damage reports, and post- event recap after each event
Serve as KT Tape company liaison with all participants, volunteers, partners, and on-site staff
Position reports to the Managing Director of Events based on Lindon, Utah
Capture images and video for social media updates throughout event
Qualifications
Must be available to commit to doing a minimum two events per month (events are generally on Fri - Sat; travel generally departs Thurs; returning Sun.)
Hard working, personable, adaptable, and able to work independently in a fast paces environment.
Participants from core sports (run, bike, tri, team sports, crossfit) a plus
Must provide a valid driver's license and excellent driving record, and be willing and able to drive rental vehicles.
Physical Demands
1. Must be able to lift/or move up to 50 pounds; when on event, additional heavy lifting may be required.
2. Requires extended periods of time standing or on the ground taping participants
3. Long hours, with excessive standing with minimal breaks during event hours. Often we will continue taping participants after the expo has closed.
Work Environment
1.Normal workload is 30-35 hours per event (including travel to and from event) but may vary depending on the needs of the event.
2.When on event, employee may be exposed to adverse weather conditions.
