Social Media Manager

The Social Manager will be the day-to-day lead on implementing the elements of IdealShape's social media strategy & vision, which are consistent across the various social platforms. They will primarily focus on influencing & sharing the social strategy across our brand-led social efforts & working with our marketing team. The goal is to increase earned media marketing techniques, to understand their impact, and to increase consumer engagement and loyalty.
IdealShape is moving towards becoming a truly social organization and as such, part of the responsibilities for this role will focus around promoting our community and integrating social into brand, PR, blog, & analytics.
The Social Manager will also play the lead role in ensuring that we are equipping our community for success in the social space. With a focus on ensuring that they have the tools, resources, and products required to be successful.
The primary job responsibilities are:
Work with internal teams (Marketing, Content, Costumer Relations) to establish processes that ensure social channels & communities are properly tended to..
Manages day-to-day and project based social strategies
Partner with peers on the digital media team to ensure that the paid, earned & owned are operating in sync and are fully complimentary
Partners with analytics team to tap into available social data sources and works on social measurement strategy
Involved in the longer team goal of integrating social strategy throughout organization. Tasks may include development of lead capture pages or developing online training sessions
Plays a key role in identifying technology vendors that IdealShape should partner with and then manages these relationships once established
As appropriate, work with marketing team on getting social media tools (like/ share buttons etc) into product roadmaps
Regularly feed back insights gained from social media into the brand & consumer relations teams
Become an advocate of the company in social media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate

Minimum of two years of experience in a social media role.
A combination of agency & client side experience is desired.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in a marketing or business related field
Minimum technical requirements are a solid understanding of the different social platforms.
Ideal candidate will be fully versed in Microsoft office, will have experience in social moderation & listening platforms, and will have a basic understanding of HTML & photoshop.
The individual will be expected to be able to work fairly independently, in a fast-paced and innovative manner. Sometimes the organization may not be ready to move as fast as is needed in the social space and the ideal candidate will possess the influencing skills to move projects along.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
