We are seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist.
Requirements to be considered for this position include the following Job Duties:
Performs general IT support, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities for the companys technologies withinbut not limited tothe following areas: backup and recovery, business applications, computers, copiers, directory services, email, faxing, instant messaging, malware, monitoring, networking, patch management, phone (landline and mobile), printing, remote access, scanning, servers, wireless networking, voice/data connectivity, and web conferencing.
Serves as the front-line contact for end-user support (both internal and external customers) regarding IT issues, requests, and questions in the areas noted above.
Escalates advanced or subject-specific IT support matters to other IT department staff, as defined by an escalation procedure.
Handles routine and recurring tasks related to items such as computer configuration/setup, user administration, organizational changes, software installation, and preventative maintenance.
Works on assigned IT projects to accomplish specific goals and assists other IT department staff with projects, as needed.
Coordinates with IT vendors, including an IT outsourcing company (managed service provider), to communicate needs and resolve issues.
Continually develops IT skills as part of ones continuing education through appropriate self-teaching, engaging in training activities, and learning from other IT department staff.
Communicates with other IT department and business unit staff to coordinate activities, as necessary.

Ability to quickly learn and utilize various required software systems to perform job duties.
Technical skills required: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of general concepts such as computers, Internet, networking, servers, software, and troubleshooting. Specifically, knowledge and/or experience in the following technologies is required: Microsoft Windows 7, Microsoft Office (Outlook/Word/Excel/PowerPoint), and web browsers. Knowledge and/or experience in these areas is helpful but not required: Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Access, basic HTML, and Salesforce.com. On-the-job training may be provided in areas that require additional competency.
Experience/Education: Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or one year or more of related experience and/or training

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
